Alyssa Marek
CO-FOUNDER
Alyssa Marek is an actor, director, and choreographer
based in Houston, TX. She is a graduate from the
University of Houston School of Theatre & Dance’s
B.F.A. acting program. Alyssa’s training consists of
voice and speech work, accents and dialects,
Shakespeare, the Suzuki Method, stage combat and
many other movement-oriented techniques. She was
last seen in a virtual workshop reading of Cyber Sex
(Susie) with the Landing Theatre and onstage in
Corona (Pneuma) by Elizabeth A.M. Keel with Rec Room’s residency program, The Wickhams: Christmas at Pemberley(Cassie) and Enemies (Nadya) at Main Street Theater, All’s Well That Ends Well (Helena) as a collaboration with Classical Theatre Company, Brighton Beach Memoirs (Nora) at Unity Theatre, and in Comedy of Errors with the Houston Shakespeare Festival. As an assistant director, Alyssa has worked on The Fairytale Lives of Russian Girls with Director Carolyn Houston Boone. Her theatrical choreography experience includes UH’s The Fairytale Lives of Russian Girls and Dead Man’s Cellphone, The Afterglow Collective’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Clear Creek Theatre’s A Christmas Carol. Alyssa has also choreographed for the Show Team of Houston’s national gymnastics competitions and international exhibitions in Switzerland and Finland, and Showcase Gymnastics’ artistic group gymnastics routines. She has trained extensively in gymnastics/tumbling, dance, acrobatics, and mini-tramp. Alyssa holds national and international titles in Gymnastics for All and Power TeamGym. She is also an Actor Combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors (SAFD). Along with her theatrical work she has also co-founded a media production company called Says Who? Productions. Their upcoming project Secret Lies of the Gossip Teen(Actor/Producer/Costume Designer) can be viewed in late April 2020. She has worked on many film projects with incredible artists around the Houston area including under the direction of Michael Grossman. Alyssa also does voice over work with local anime company, Sentai Filmworks.
